Vivo IPL Live Score, RR vs KKR : KKR beat RR by 7 wickets

IPL Live Score, RR vs KKR: Kolkata In Control Despite Uthappa's Loss vs Rajasthan

A good bowling present by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) helped them restrict Rajasthan Royals to 160/8 in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Wednesday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Once being put in to bat, Rajasthan got off to a careful start with skipper Ajinkya Rahane and D Arcy Short playing it safe. After the first two overs, Rahane started playing his shots as he hammered Sunil Narine for four successive boundaries. However, the RR skipper ultimately fell for 36 off 19 balls in the seventh over. Short then on the go to play the shots as he scored a fighting 44 before getting dismissed by Nitish Rana. After his departure, wickets kept falling at regular intervals courtesy some good disciplined bowling display by KKR. Tom Curran bowled well for KKR as he finished with figures of 2-19 while Nitish Rana also took two wickets to limit the hosts to a below-par total.

With Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine at the top and big hitters like Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell in the centre, KKR has enough firepower and depth. Their bowling too has the right balance with the unreliable Narine, the current purple cap holder in the tournament. Wily old horse Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav are able of weaving a web around any batting side. Pacer Shivam Mavi, who rose to stardom during the recent U-19 World Cup, and Russell provide the medium pace diversity to KKR.
