Vivo IPL Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils Live Score

Vivo IPL Live Score, RCB vs DD: De Villiers Leading Bangalore's Charge After Kohli's Fall vs Delhi

Mighty innings from Shreyas Iyer (52) and Rishabh Pant (85) helped Delhi Daredevils post a spirited total of 174/5 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. Put into the bat first, the hosts were in total managing as they did not let the people have a solid start to their innings. Both openers Gautam Gambhir and Jason Roy looked out of form and did not pose much threat as they departed cheaply for 3 and 5 respectively. While RCB controlled the momentum of the game, Iyer and Pant steadied the Delhi innings and strung a 75-run partnership as they took the hit to the opposition. Iyer looked in top-form but was dismissed by a brilliant Washington Sundar delivery. However, Pant carried on the onslaught as he changed his gears soon.

RCB beat DD by 6 wickets

After Iyer was dismissed, Pant stitched together a 65-run partnership with “Rahul Tewatia” and was transfer the bowlers on a leather hunt. Few costly overs in the loss helped Delhi post a competitive target. Pant was very well en route to his IPL hundred but was dismissed a slower Corey Anderson delivery. The RCB bowling section was on-point yet again but lost their plot towards the end. For the hosts, Yuzvendra Chahal finished with figures of 2/22, while Anderson, Washington and Umesh Yadav chosen up a wicket each.

However, the main reason of concern for the Bengaluru franchise has been the death bowling as the side has leaked too many runs in the demise overs. On the other hand, Delhi too had a poor start to their IPL 2018 campaign after losing their first two games against KXIP and RR. The Gautam Gambhir-led side got their 1 win against MI.
For Delhi, only Rishabh Pant and Jason Roy have looked good so far with the willow and Captain Gautam Gambhir is still to discover his form back. In the bowling department, young leggie Rahul Tewatia has scalped six wickets from four games with an economy of 7.13. Pacer Trent Boult also has the same figure of wickets but has been slightly costly. The Bangalore side will, but, be the favorites in Saturday's clash as the hosts enjoy a 12-6 head-to-head record next to Delhi Daredevils.
